Last episode “Otis” and I gave our Mayberry Days 2013 report and mentioned the Mayberry Days Trivia contest. I thought I’d take this episode to go through the incredibly hard questions asked during the “Super Bowl of Mayberry Trivia.” After you hear them, you’ll know why the winner only got 14 points out of 22 possible.
Many say, “Why are the questions so hard? It’s not fun for us.” Folks, this is the “Jeopardy” of Mayberry Trivia. It really *means* something to win and champions have every right to be proud to wear the title of Mayberry Days Trivia Champion! There are several people who can compete at this level and actually have a chance to get *every* question right. It’s happened in the past.
Every year, Kenneth Junkin works very hard to come up with questions to stump these people who are walking Mayberry computers. This year he did very well with the winner only getting two-thirds of the questions right.
Be sure to keep your own score to see how well you do compared to these experts. One or two answers right is a real accomplishment and you have a right to be happy with yourself so jump in where you can and hang on. Let us hear how you did.

Allan, I really enjoyed trying my hand at the trivia questions. However, I was disappointed that I only got four right! It was fun trying, anyway.
Hello. I am the son in law of Mike Haviland the 2011 trivia champion. Mike was unable to attend this years contest because of the passing of his wife, and trivia coach, Rhonda. Rhonda was an amazing woman and is missed tremendously.
Knowing how much the contest meant to mike, his family got the questions this past week and demanded mike not look , and we had our own contest with the questions from the 2013 contest mike missed. We even made mike a fan paddle and got stickers.
Well i am proud to announce, Mike got 20 of the 22 points including the 2 point question that no one got correct. He would of won the contest by 6 points over the official winner
Even though officially mike didn’t
compete, in his family’s eyes he will be champion! Congrats. Mike
Up to Episode 256 – but where is the Kids Trivia contest you have mentioned several times? No search return on YouTube, on your site, in many of the Mayberry Days videos so far.. thanks.
