This episode we get to hear back from your fellow listeners and see what’s on their minds.

We’ll hear comments about things like:
Why the keys were hung where they where,  Public domain episodes, back on- Episode 171 that’s not Barney Kessel….it’s Howard Roberts.

Enjoyed seeing Andy and Don on Remembering Don Knotts #226.

There were African-Americans in Mayberry.   And more.  Give it a listen and call in with your comments!  I love hearing from you.

There has been a photo making the rounds on the internet the last month or so saying:

You’ll never, in a million years, guess who this is.

Guess who?

Bet you can’t guess who this blonde beauty is………
look closely and try guess before scrolling down for the answer.. After you guess or give up, scroll down below the photo.

It then goes on to say the photo is Frances Bavier.  Well…it isn’t.  I’ve been trying for weeks to defeat this rumor/urban legend but I’m not winning.  I’m hopeful that after this podcast, the listeners of Two Chairs will help me spread the truth.

We’ll also hear a couple of your voice mails!  Keep ’em coming…I love to hear from you.

Friends, the world lost our number one deputy on February 24, 2006.  To celebrate the life of Don Knotts and the amazing character he brought to life the Two Chairs No Waiting podcast has dedicated an episode of the podcast to him each year.  This year is no exception.

TAGSRWC member Bart Boatwright owns a master copy of the The Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Jim Nabors Special from 1965.  As part of that special, Andy and Don appeared as Andy Taylor and Barney Fife in a version of the Mayberry courthouse.  They even performed the judo attack with a ruler skit with Andy attacking Don.

I hope you’ll enjoy hearing the scene and picturing in your head the action.  In this one case, you may also want to watch the video version of Two Chairs to see what’s happening.  Or just drop by Bart’s YouTube video and see the original.

Thank you Mr. Knotts, for all you did to bring joy into our lives!  “Mayberry says, ‘Thanks and happy motorin.'”

What a wonderful, heart felt treat we have in store for this episode.  Mayberry fan Jimmy Phillips recently wrote a wonderful post on Facebook called, “Mayberry, Why Do We Love It?”  As soon as I had read Jimmy’s wonderful words, I contacted him to ask if I could use those words on Two Chairs.  In the spirit of Mayberry, Jimmy quickly replied “You’re more than welcome to use it.”

Friends, what you’re about to hear will bring wonderful thoughts and memories to mind.  Jimmy has a right to be mighty proud of himself.

Jimmy is a member of a Facebook group called “Mayberry After Midnight” and it’s a closed group but if you ask to join…we’ll let you in.  No blackballs from the folks over there.

We also have a few voice mail messages to listen to and enjoy.

The 15th Annual George Lindsey UNA Film Festival was held in Florence, Alabama on March 1-3, 2012.  The kickoff of the festival included the dedication of a new Black Box theater named after George Lindsey (The George Lindsey Theatre) and the Ernest Borgnine Performance Hall ribbon cutting. Two Chairs featured George’s presentation at this even back in episodes 187 and 188 and it was certainly special.  If you haven’t heard those episodes, head on over and check them out.

What we haven’t heard yet are the words spoken by Ernest Borgnine during that same presentation.  I’ve delayed using this because it isn’t 100% “Mayberry” but I do believe fans will enjoy hearing a man like Mr. Borgnine speak about his friend, George.  You will hear the genuine love that Mr. Borgnine had for George Linsday and I think you’ll learn a little more about this man who did so much to help others.

The 16th Annual George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is coming up in just a few weeks (February 28-March 2, 2013) so we can all be proud of our friend, George…..just like Ernest Borgnine. He’s still helping others achieve their dreams.  At-a-boy George!
