I’m joined again by my wife, Jan, as co-host and we go through just some of the things found in Weaver’s Newsletter from June 2023. There’s great info in the newsletter and we add some additional details to the stories found in the newsletter.
If you aren’t subscribed to Weaver’s Newsletter, you really should consider subscribing so you won’t miss out on the fun information found within. It’s free so you don’t have anything to loose by subscribing. The link is below.
I believe you’ll really enjoy the conversation and I’m very thankful to Jan for agreeing to be part of the show. It’s always fun to have her on the show with me and since my voice still isn’t 100% back, I’m glad she was here.
No trivia this week because we ran long talking. Check out the show if you want to know what all the talking was about.

Back in March 2018 during the recording of the LIVE pre-show for episode #468 I told a story about “Jan the Whistler.” The story isn’t 100% Mayberry but it certainly similar to an event that happened in Mayberry. People that were in the pre-show loved the story and wanted me to air the story again so, by popular demand we’ll share the story on this episode of Two Chairs.
We also have Randy’s Mayberry History report and then a few stories to get you read for the 2018 Mayberry Meet-up coming this weekend 20-22 July in Mt. Airy, NC.
Bonus: This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “Harry Dean Stanton.”

Those of you who aren’t able to attend the “live” recording of Two Chairs No Waiting on Monday nights may never have heard of a song called, “The Andy Griffith Show of Women.” Well, I recently received permission from David Staples, the writer & performer, to play the song on the podcast.
In David’s own words, “The most sincere compliment you could give a woman is to compare her to the greatest show of all time.” September 5, 2011 is my 19th wedding anniversary so what better compliment can I pay Jan than to compare her to The Andy Griffith Show.
We’re also going to talk about the upcoming Mayberry Days event in Mt. Airy, NC. Mayberry Days is an annual gathering of fans of The Andy Griffith Show and occurs the last full weekend in September each year.
Follow me on Twitter if you use twitter. I’ve been posting all kinds of Mayberry things there as another way to let folks know about The Andy Griffith Show.
